WLASL is the largest video dataset designed for Word-Level American Sign Language (ASL) recognition, encompassing 2,000 common ASL words. This extensive dataset is a valuable resource for advancing research in sign language understanding. By providing a comprehensive collection of word-level ASL videos, WLASL aims to enhance the development of technologies that can bridge the communication gap between deaf and hearing communities. Researchers and developers can leverage this dataset to create more accurate and efficient ASL recognition systems, ultimately fostering better inclusivity and accessibility for individuals who rely on sign language for communication.
Content The WLASL_v0.3.json file contains the glossary and instances of the videos.
Inside the videos folder, there are about 12k videos each named corresponding video_id.
